ValueThe Planet Ocean GMT in steel with the black and white dial and alligator strap is trying to do something interesting - take a serious diver complication and dress it up for smarter occasions. And it's mostly successful. The Master Chronometer GMT movement is one of the best in class, METAS-certified and genuinely precise. That alligator strap does more for the wearability than you'd expect, softening the bulk of the 43.5mm case. My hesitation is value - at this price you're in territory where the strap choice feels like it should be doing more heavy lifting stylistically. A proper watch, no doubt, but you're paying a premium for the complication and the alligator together, and one of those arguments is stronger than the other.
