The vintage Datejust. Look, I'm not saying it's a bad watch. It's actually a good watch, man. But it belongs on a certain kind of dude - accountants, lawyers, guys who wear jackets to Ralph's - and I am not that dude. It's fine. It's just not for me.

The Datejust reference 1601 in stainless steel. Fluted white gold bezel. Oyster bracelet. Automatic caliber 1570 inside. My father wore a Datejust. His accountant now wears one, which is troubling, but it does not diminish the reference itself. The Datejust is essential - a man ought to own one before he is thirty.
