The 5980 is a seriously impressive sport watch and honestly one of the best integrated bracelets out there, but at this price point you're paying for the name as much as the watch itself. Movement and finishing are top-tier, it wears beautifully, and the proportions are spot on for daily use, yet I keep wondering if a Black Bay 58 or even a good Seamaster gives you 80% of the experience for half the cost. It's a stunning piece if the budget allows and you're committed to the Patek lifestyle, but it's not a no-brainer like some make it out to be.
