The 5140 is an absolute beast on the wrist-solid, serious, and definitely commands attention like a proper watch should. That said, it's a perpetual calendar that costs nearly what a small house does, and unless you're really into the complications side of collecting, you're paying a huge premium for features most people will never use. It's brilliant engineering and beautiful to own, but it sits in this weird space where it's almost too refined and dressy for my taste-I'd rather throw on a Big Pilot and actually *use* it.
