Look, the 5016 is obviously a masterpiece from a technical standpoint-the tourbillon, minute repeater, and perpetual calendar are legitimately impressive-but at that price point I'd honestly want something with the finishing rigor I see on Grand Seiko's high-end pieces. The watch wears well enough and feels substantial on the wrist, but it doesn't quite hit the same level of obsessive polish perfection that gets me excited. Still a flex if you can swing it, just not the no-brainer I'd expect for that kind of money.
