The 5960 is a gorgeous annual calendar chrono that wears really well and the movement is solid, but at this price point you're paying a serious premium for the Patek name when the functionality doesn't feel dramatically different from what Lange or VC offer. Don't get me wrong-it's a beautiful piece and the finishing is top-notch-but it's more of a "because Patek" purchase than a "because it's the best tool for the job" one. Still a flex in the collection though, just make sure you're buying it for the right reasons.
Look, the 5960 is undeniably impressive on paper with that annual calendar and chronograph combo, but it wears pretty formal and chunky for what I'd actually reach for-honestly, a Tank on leather does more for me day-to-day. That said, if you're chasing haute horlogerie credentials and don't mind the sticker shock, it's a solid piece that holds its own, just not exactly a crowd-pleaser in my book.
