Look, I'll be honest - the Calatrava is a beautiful, classically proportioned watch that wears incredibly well and the movement is a joy to look at, but it's a manual wind with no rotating bezel, so it's never going to be my grail piece. It's the kind of watch that makes perfect sense if you're into dress watches and appreciate fine finishing, but at that price point you're really paying for the name and heritage rather than getting groundbreaking specs. Solid watch, just not one that checks my boxes.
