Look, I'm a Grand Seiko guy through and through, but I gotta give credit where it's due-the Speedy Pro is an absolute workhorse that just *works*. The 42mm wears well, the hand-wound movement feels solid, and there's something timeless about owning a watch that actually went to the moon, not just marketing fluff. That said, at this price point you're really paying for heritage and brand equity; a comparable Grand Seiko chronograph will give you better finishing and arguably better everyday performance, but the Speedmaster does its own thing and does it well. Solid 83-everyone should own one eventually, just maybe wait for a decent sale.
