The Royal Oak 41 is an absolute beast in person and that openworked movement is genuinely mesmerizing, but at this price point you're really paying for the name and the craft rather than getting a watch that'll blow your mind on the wrist like my Black Bay did. Still, if you're deep into the collector game and want something that feels special every time you look at it, this hits different-just know you're buying into the AP ecosystem as much as the actual watch. Solid 81 because it's undeniably gorgeous and well-made, but the value proposition is a tough sell compared to what else is out there.
