So I picked up a beat-up SKX007 at an estate sale last weekend and spent the better part of yesterday getting it running again. The movement was basically frozen, but after some gentle persuasion and a fresh mainspring, it's keeping better time than my Submariner homage. I'm genuinely curious why vintage Seiko divers don't get more love in the collector space. Sure, Rolex gets all the attention, but these Japanese monsters are built like tanks and way easier on the wallet. Anyone else have a soft spot for older Seikos, or am I just the weird guy in the basement with a loupe?
