So I was thinking about my collecting philosophy the other day and realized I've developed what might be the most specific rule in horology. I literally will not buy any watch manufactured after my parents were born - sounds insane, but hear me out. It's forced me into the most incredible rabbit holes: vintage Seikos from the 60s, Omega Seamasters from the 70s, even some gorgeous Longines pieces from the 50s. The quality, the stories, the actual mechanical engineering in these pieces just hits different. Has anyone else developed a weird cutoff rule for their collection, or am I just the crazy guy who refuses anything post-1955?
