I know that sounds dramatic, but hear me out. Three years ago I picked up a Seiko Prospex Spring Drive and it fundamentally changed how I think about mechanical watches. The glide motion, the accuracy without a battery, the way it just feels different on the wrist-there's nothing else like it. My collection used to be all standard automatics and quartz, but now I've got three Spring Drives and honestly I can't justify buying anything else. Has anyone else experienced that moment where one watch just clicks and suddenly you're stuck on that one movement? Because I'm convinced Seiko figured out something special that the rest of the industry is sleeping on.
