Just caught wind that Grand Seiko is pushing the boundaries on their signature Zaratsu polishing with some new equipment and methods. I've been obsessing over the finishing on the recent SBGA211 and SBGA413 releases, and the mirror polish is absolutely insane compared to even two years ago. The level of reflection and depth you get with proper Zaratsu work is something Tudor and Omega simply can't match at any price point. Has anyone else noticed the difference in the latest batches? Would love to hear if this is a permanent upgrade or just a limited run situation.
